US Ambassador Mike Huckabee revealed that Israel had been sent Iron Dome batteries and “service providers” to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for support The invasion of Iran.
The US ambassador to Israel praised the UAE at a ceremony in Tel Aviv on Tuesday, saying that Abu Dhabi is an “example” of strong relations between Israel and the Gulf states.

“They were the first members of the Abraham Accord,” he said, referring to the agreements that established relations between Israel and several Arab countries in 2020.
But look at the benefits they will have because of this: Israel just sent them Iron Dome batteries and workers to help them operate them.
Several media have announced the deployment of the Iron Drone to the UAE in recent weeks. Huckabee’s comments provide the first confirmation of the move, which reflects the deepening relationship between Israel and Abu Dhabi amid the conflict with Iran.
This is the first known high air conditioning technology – which has been funded by billions of dollars from the US government – which is spent outside of Israel.
In the past, Israel has refused to transfer the Iron Dome batteries in Ukraine Russian missiles.
The UAE and other Gulf countries have been under attack by Iran and drone strikes since the US and Israel launched an attack on Iran on February 28.
While Iran says it is attacking US assets in the Middle East, countries in the region have criticized Tehran for targeting civilian targets, including airports, hotels and energy facilities.
The UAE and Bahrain are the only two countries in the Gulf that have relations with Israel as part of the so-called Abraham Accords.
On Tuesday, Huckabee called on the Gulf states to “choose a side” between Israel and Iran.
“Israel is not your real enemy, Israel does not want to destroy you. “It is not sending rockets into civilian areas. Who is doing that? Iran is.”
Last year, Israel launched big planes against the Qatari capital Doha, which is targeting the leadership of Hamas in negotiations to end the conflict in Gaza.
While Hamas officials survived the attack, six others, including one Qatari police officer, were killed.
In February, Huckabee it caused anger when he said that he supports the establishment of Greater Israel according to his interpretation of the Bible.
Such an area would include today’s Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and parts of Saudi Arabia.
“It would be better if they took it all,” Huckabee, who was nominated by President Donald Trump last year, told commentator Tucker Carlson.
He later he tried to go back his comment is to accuse Carlson of misrepresenting his position.
On Tuesday, Huckabee argued that the Gulf states should be on the side of the US and Israel.
“Which side are you going to choose – the US and Israel are on one side, the Iranians and their Shia fanaticism are on the other side. Which side do you want to be on?” the US ambassador said.
Despite being attacked by Iran, many Gulf countries have not openly approached Israel. He also did not respond to the war in Iran.
Prince Turki al-Faisal, the former ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the United States, explained the reason for the kingdom’s ban on abstinence in a recent column of Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper.
“If Israel’s plan to start a war between us and Iran had succeeded, the region would have been a disaster and a disaster,” he wrote.
“Thousands of our sons and daughters would have been lost in a war that we had nothing to do with. Israel would have been able to force the region and remain the only actor in our region.”
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Israeli Government Press Office did not immediately respond to Al Jazeera’s request for comment.
