At least three Palestinians have been killed and several others injured after an Israeli plane crashed into a car near the Abu Khadra mosque in the western Rimal area. Gaza Cityaccording to medical sources.

“A few minutes later, local people said that the target was a jeep driven by civilians,” Khoudary said. “Only one of the three victims has been identified: Abdul Jawad Abu Lebn (who) was due to get married next week. Wedding invitations were found in the car.”
Earlier on Thursday, Israeli fire wounded a fisherman along the Gaza Strip and a man near Khan Younis in the south, the Palestinian Wafa news agency reported.
Another girl was killed by Israeli gunfire in Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza, according to Al Jazeera reporters on the ground.
The latest threats come despite the US “ceasing hostilities” announced in October last year.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said at least 1,007 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire since the ceasefire began, bringing the total number of people who have died in the camp to 73,018 since October 7, 2023.
The National Committee on Gaza (NCAG) said on Thursday that it had completed the necessary repairs and reconstruction and was ready to start field work “as soon as they approve”.
The NCAG, which is made up of independent Palestinian experts, said the announcement follows a joint meeting in Cairo with Britain’s Secretary of State Yvette Cooper to discuss the needs for reconstruction and reconstruction in Gaza.
“The meeting reviewed the committee’s vision for the next phase, including health assistance, infrastructure renovation and local economic development,” the committee said.
The committee is overseen by the Peace Council, which said it includes US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, US Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, son-in-law of US President Donald Trump, and British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
However, prospects for rebuilding remain uncertain as Israel continues to expand its military-controlled enclave inside Gaza. The Israeli army now controls about 64 percent of the Gaza Strip, up from the 53 percent expected under the ceasefire agreement, according to a map shared by aid organizations in March.
The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) says that Israeli forces have been pushing the so-called “Yellow Line” inside Gaza City. The line marks the border of the territories controlled by the Israeli army, beyond which Palestinians are at risk of burning if they enter.
According to the rights group, the Israeli army recently moved the border into the Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City, forcing many people to leave their homes.
The warning comes after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the military to increase control of Gaza to 70 percent of the territory, according to reports by Israeli media, raising concerns among Palestinians and rights groups that further expansion of the military-controlled areas could be tantamount to ethnic cleansing.
As Israel continues to attack Gaza, violence has not stopped in the occupied West Bank.
In a joint statement on Thursday, eight countries condemned what they described as an increase in Israeli violence against Palestinians in the West Bank, following attacks on mosques north of Ramallah.
The foreign ministers of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Egypt and Turkey condemned the recent attacks on the Grand Mosque in Jiljilya and the Farouk Mosque in the Nubani area.
The ministers said the attacks were a “clear violation of the sanctity of places of worship and religious sites” and “international law, including international humanitarian law, and relevant United Nations resolutions”.
The statement comes after Israeli settlers set fire to parts of the Grand Mosque in Jiljilya on Tuesday and painted racist Hebrew words on its walls.
Palestinian officials also said that Israeli officials ordered the demolition of nine houses in the city of ash-Shuyukh, northeast of Hebron, according to the Palestinian Wafa news agency.
This comes amid attacks on Israeli settlers, the expansion of existing settlements, and the establishment of new settlements in the occupied West Bank.
