Ismaila Sar cemented his place in the history of African football by scoring Senegal’s second goal in the 51st minute against Belgium in the 32nd round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup today, Wednesday evening.

Sarr took his World Cup tally to five, tying him with Cameroonian legend Roger Milla for second on the all-time African World Cup goalscoring list, behind Ghana’s Asamoah Gyan, who leads the way with six.
