Ipswich Town transfer news: Issa Diop has joined from Fulham for an undisclosed fee

Ipswich Town Signed from Moroccan defender Issa Diop Fulham for an undisclosed fee.

The 29-year-old, who made five appearances for Morocco as they reached the World Cup quarter-finals, has signed a contract until the summer of 2030.

Diop brings significant Premier League experience to an Ipswich squad promoted from the Championship last season for whom he played 173 games in the top flight. Fulham and West Ham.

Diop joined West Ham from Toulouse in 2018 and spent four seasons with the Hammers before moving there. Fulham 2022 on a £15m deal.

He played 96 times in all competitions for the Cottagers but made just eight Premier League starts last season.

Diop became the sixth signing of the summer following Ipswich’s acquisition Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatau £20m from Leicester earlier this week.

Striker Emerson Joined from Toulouse A club-record fee of around £26m earlier this month.

Defender Cedric Kipre and forward Chuba Akpom were signed on a permanent basis after successful loan spells last season, while goalkeeper Kane van Weulen arrived from Dutch side FC Volendam.
