Apple’s next update to iOS may include something that smartphone photographers have been waiting for: more control over the Camera app. According to BloombergMark Gurman, the Camera app “will be “customizable” in iOS 27 and users will be able to “choose their own controls – called widgets – that move over the screen.”
Gurman says that the Camera app will keep the existing widgets, but starting with iOS 27, “you will be able to switch to “more” options or select their items. From there, you can choose from the new “Add Widgets” tray, with widgets divided into three groups: basic, manual, and changeable. There will also be different widgets for each version of the Camera app. According to Gurman, the Camera app is also getting a new “Siri” way to use Apple’s smart interface.
iOS 27 will also include design changes in some programs, especially Siri, which Gurman said will be part of the Dynamic Island in iOS 27. Apple’s AI assistant can also get. his program and plus many third-party AI models. Additionally, the Image Playground app and Safari home page are said to be getting a makeover along with the Weather app adding a new “Conditions” section.
