Insta360’s Mic Pro uses three sets of microphones for better recording

Mic Pro transmitters are larger than most wireless microphones combined Insta360’s Mic Airbut its size is proportional to its two keys. Each transmitter features a six-color, 1.22-inch, round E Ink screen that can be used to display logos, names, or as a way to identify anything if multiple are in use at the same time. The display still shows images when the transmitter is turned off and the battery life is expected to be up to 10 hours which can be extended up to 30 using the recorder.

Each transmitter also has three microphones that work together with audio editing software to simulate different recording styles. When placed on camera they can work as a gunner to focus their talent in front of the camera. Cardioid mode has a tighter pickup that’s useful for recording vocals, while Figure-8 mode captures both front and rear audio simultaneously when recording conversations.

There’s 32GB of built-in storage for each device that stores stereo audio in addition to what the connected device is recording. The Mic Pro system is compatible with most devices using a wireless receiver with USB-C or audio cables, but direct Bluetooth connection is easy when connecting to phones or various Insta360 cameras including its own.
