The Indy 500 – a highlight of the motorsport calendar – is here and you can watch it all over Sky Sports.
IndyCar Championship leader Alex Palo will aim to defend his title in a race that is often unpredictable and known as “racing’s greatest spectacle” thanks to the 33 drivers who braved 33 drivers going wheel-to-wheel at 200mph on the 2.5-mile oval.
Palo takes pole position from ex-Manor F1 driver Alexander Rossi after a thrilling qualifying, with two-time Indy 500 winner Josef Neugarden set to work from 23rd.
There are four other former Formula 1 drivers in the field – Takuma Sato, Marcus Ericsson, Romain Grosjean and Mick Schumacher.

Indy 500 weather
The weather in Indianapolis has been mixed this week but Sunday’s race is set to be dry with temperatures currently at 27 degrees
