Kishan, whose runs came off 44 balls, and Tilak, who took a 29-ball 60, sped up the scoring in the middle overs, taking advantage of an often overcrowded bowler.

He scored 94 off 44 balls for the fourth wicket before Ishan was caught in the deep end.

Zimbabwe faced a record chase and, although opener Brian Bennett gave hope, they struggled and were dismissed in 17.5 overs.

Bennett played a series of 32 runs from 19 balls before falling to Yash Thakur, who finished with 2-30 in his T20 internationals.

After Bennett’s dismissal, wickets fell slowly, and Abhishek Sharma’s slow left-arm bowling produced excellent figures of 3-17.

India won the opening three-match series at the Harare Sports Club by seven wickets with 40 balls to spare.

The final fight is on Sunday.
