The French star puts a knot in the “Leader” saw
Media reports have revealed new developments regarding France’s Karim Benzema’s future with Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal amid uncertainty surrounding his position ahead of the start of the new Roche Pro League season.
According to a British journalist Ben JacobsAl Hilal have held talks with Benzema to resolve his future as the club continue to explore their attacking options in the summer transfer window.
The report states that Benzema is committed to a leading role in the team and does not want to continue if he is dropped from the coaching staff or substituted next season.

He added that the French striker completely rejects the scenario reported in some Saudi media that sees him restricted to only the elite AFC Champions League matches without being on the local team’s roster.
Al Hilal, on the other hand, remain in control of the striker market as they look to sign a new striker in the current transfer window, which could be a deciding factor in deciding Benzema’s future at Al Zaim in the coming weeks.
It is worth noting that Benzema joined Al Hilal last January but failed to show his credentials, especially in the main games, and despite his presence, the leader failed to win the Roshan League and the Asian Elite titles.
