Canada couldn’t equalize despite trying
The Swiss national team took first place in Group 2 of the 2026 World Cup after a strong battle with host country Canada, which ended with a 2-1 victory for the visitors at the BC Place stadium in Vancouver today, Wednesday.
The goals of the Swiss national team were scored by Ruben Vargas in the 46th minute and Johan Manzambi in the 57th minute, and Canada’s only goal was scored by Promise David in the 76th minute.
