A journalist from Saudi Arabia ruled out the ability of the Egyptian national team to achieve positive results in the 2026 World Cup in America, Canada and Mexico, noting that it suffers from many problems.

Saudi journalist Ali Al-Enezi said in his statements to the “Durina Gheir” program. “I have great reservations about the level of the Egyptian team recently and I don’t think they will go far (at the World Cup).

He added: “I hope that the Egyptian team, led by Mohamed Salah, (Omar) Marmoush and (Mahmoud) Trezeguet, will succeed, but they have big problems in defense.”

He added: “There is also instability in the goalkeeping position. Sometimes (Mustafa) Schubert plays and sometimes (Mohamed) El-Shenawy, so the confidence in the selection of players has been shaken a little bit.”

“So I think everything is difficult for the Egyptian national team and I wish them success.”
