The cars didn’t give the Latin team much time

Leroy Sane opened the scoring early for Germany against Ecuador in the third round of Group E of the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Thursday evening.

It took Sane just one minute and 49 seconds to score, making it Germany’s second-fastest World Cup goal behind Ernst Lehner’s first-minute goal against Austria in 1934.

Germany continued their attacking dominance at the tournament as they became the first team to reach the 10-goal barrier at the 2026 World Cup.

Sane’s goal was followed by a refereeing dispute, which was immediately followed by a kick-off in which Ecuador called for a foul after German midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic raised his foot too high, causing it to hit opponent Pedro Vitti in the face, but the goal ended up being awarded.
