“Al Hilal” legend Sami Al Jaber revealed the fact that he will be appointed the president of the Saudi Arabian Football Association in the near future, succeeding Yasser Al Meshal.

Yasser Al-Meshal announced his resignation from the post of president of the Saudi Arabian Football Association early Monday morning.After the team said goodbye to AA-2026 in the group stage.

The social media pioneers shared a statement attributed to the Saudi Arabian Football Federation announcing the appointment of Sami Al-Jaber as its president in the coming period, replacing Yasser Al-Mashal, which the Al-Hilal legend denied.

Al-Jaber said in his statements to MBC 1’s “Our Club” program. “It is an honor to serve the nation in any field, but there are competent people with the necessary experience to lead the Saudi Arabian Football Association.”

He added: “Whoever fills this position should be surrounded by administrative powers at a very high level, so that you can help him and manage this system in the best way, because it is not an individual job.”

Regarding the spread statement, Al-Jaber said: “This statement is absolutely untrue and I pray to God to bless this country and all of us with all the best.”

Notably, Sami Al Jaber has held many administrative positions since retiring from football in 2007, the most prominent of which was in April 2018 when he was appointed chairman of Al Hilal Club, but he left after just 5 months.
