In the video.. Nur El-Din Zikri explodes. I am the best coach of Algeria. Who are these people to lead the national team?

Just mentioning these people is an insult to Algeria… harsh statements of the former coach of Saudi Al-Shabaab.

Former Saudi youth coach Noureddine Zakri has sparked controversy over the identity of Algeria’s next coach when he claimed to be the current best Algerian coach, stressing that his CV and coaching credentials do not belong to any other local coach.

This comes in light of the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the future of Swiss Vladimir Petkovic, who heads the Desert Warriors technical staff.

Petkovic’s future with Algeria is still undecided, despite the Algerian Football Federation’s technical committee recommending him to continue in his role after failing to qualify for the 2026 World Cup and calling for a change in the squad.

Petkovic has extended his contract until 2028, but his future has been the subject of debate in the corridors of the Algerian federation, with the possibility of an Algerian replacement being tipped in the past.

Zakri said in his statements to the Algerian Shorouk News TV channel. “I am currently the best coach in Algeria, not just a local coach, because all my certificates are Italian and internationally recognized. There is no coach in Algeria who has a CV or certificates like mine.”

The 61-year-old coach added: “During the 26 years of my career, when I took over the responsibilities of coaching the team, I was able to achieve the goals that were required of me. What else do you want?”

Zakri builds on a long career in which he has managed several clubs inside and outside Algeria, most notably his experience with ES Setif, with whom he won the Algerian Cup in 2010, in addition to his success in rescuing a number of Saudi clubs from relegation when they were suffering from difficult situations.

“When I took teams that were built to compete for titles, they won championships, as happened with ES Setif. In Saudi Arabia, I managed clubs that were struggling to stay in the first division, and it seemed almost impossible to maintain their position, but I managed to do it.”

Zakri had coaching experience at several clubs in Saudi Arabia, including Al-Fayha, Damaq, Al-Akhdud and Al-Khulud, before becoming a freelance coach after leaving Al-Shabaab on June 30.

Despite his strong statements, Zachary confirmed that he is not seeking the position of coach of the Algeria national team to replace Petkovic, noting that he has previously presented his case at the request of some people, but will not repeat the issue.

He said: “I don’t apply for the position of the coach of the national team, I nominated my candidacy in the past at the request of several people, I won’t do it again.”

In a related context, Zachary quipped The press reports that such names as Antar Yahya and Rafik Saifi have been nominated to work as assistants in the technical headquarters of the Algerian national team. In the near future.

He added sarcastically. “God willing, Antar Yahya has a great name, just like we created the name Majid Buhera before, now we are going to create the name Yahya in the same way.”

He continued. “Bougera fell with a team in the UAE league, then he fell with a team in the Qatar league. He also failed to lead Lebanon’s national team to qualify for the 2027 Asian Cup.”

Zachary asked. “Do you (Omdurman) want to return to Algeria without certificates or credentials?”

Then he angrily continued: “To mention only the names of the workers in the national team is an insult to Algeria and devalues the men of this country.”

He concluded. “There is a lobby that directs public opinion towards specific coaches, portraying them as Mourinho, when in reality they are nothing.”
