Yassin Bounou, the goalkeeper of the Moroccan national team, thanked the fans who came to watch the first training session of the “Atlas Lions” in the United States of America.
The Moroccan national team is preparing to participate in the finals of the 2026 World Cup in Group C, which includes Brazil, Haiti and Scotland.
“I am grateful to the public for their support and encouragement, and our goal is to provide a lot of happiness for our fans.”
He added: “The Moroccan delegation arrived in ideal conditions and the players are moving step by step towards fully adapting to the time difference and the general atmosphere here.”
He continued. “Our goal is to create a great achievement and history worthy of Moroccan football. We aim to get through the group stage first and then take the tournament game by game.”
Meanwhile, Lions player Issa Diop said: “I hope everything goes well and we win the World Cup.”
He added: “We know very well that Moroccan people are everywhere in the world. Wherever we go, we know they’ll be there to support us.”
Diop continued. “As I said before, we have an outstanding technical team that gives us all the tools and arrangements to be fully prepared and to be able to give everything we have on the pitch.”
