The Moroccan striker has recently caused a major crisis
Moroccan Al-Shabaab striker Abdel Razzak Hamdalla has sparked controversy over his future after he sent a cryptic message to his fans wearing a Morocco shirt.
Hamdallah posted two pictures on his official Instagram account in a Morocco national team jersey, one of which shows him wearing the 2025 Arab Cup title he won with the Atlas Lions, and the other of his favorite nickname, Al-Sati.
The Moroccan striker said in his message. “To all the fans and lovers of Abdul Razzaq Hamdallah, peace be upon you all. It was a very difficult season in all aspects, but the preparation for the next season starts now.”
He added: “A new challenge, a new ambition, a new determination and a new goal. Thank you for your support and love. We’ll meet next season.”
Hamdallah sent a message to his personal fans, without mentioning the fans of Al-Shabaab club, where he currently plays, and whose contract with him is extended until the end of the next season, 2026-2027.
The word “new challenge” also pointed to the Moroccan striker’s desire for a new experience next season, especially in light of the crisis that brought him together with the Al-Shabaab club late last season.
The youth administration decided to remove Hamdallah from training after a crisis with Belgian Yannick Carrasco during the Al-Taawoun clash, which ended in a heavy defeat (1-5) in the Roshen League competitions this May.
The media say that the youth administration is investigating the future of the Moroccan striker with the team, with the tendency not to continue after the end of the season, because of the repeated crises and their effect on the stability of the group.
Hamdallah remains one of Al-Shabaab’s most popular players from a technical point of view, as he has been a strong presence in his numbers after scoring 46 goals in 50 appearances, with 38 goals and 8 assists, in various local leagues and the Gulf Champions League for the club.
