Image: Inzaghi’s agent responds to rumors of a move away from Al Hilal

Federico Pastorello, the agent of Simone Inzaghi, the technical director of Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia, has responded to the rumors of the Italian coach leaving the leaders’ walls this summer.

Inzaghi took over at Al Hilal last summer and led the side to the Club World Cup before reaching the quarter-finals.

Al-Hilal was eliminated from the Saudi Arabian Super Cup, and the elite AFC Champions League was eliminated in the round of 16 by Qatar’s Al-Sad.

Al-Zaim lost the Saudi Roshan League title to Al-Nasr and settled for only winning the Guardian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, leading to some voices calling for Inzaghi to leave Al-Hilal.

Pastorello wrote: “Regarding the rumors circulating and attributed to me regarding coach Inzaghi and Al Hilal, I confirm that no such statements have been made by me, especially in relation to any transfer related communication or any reporting to the club.”

Inzagi’s agent added via the Instagram story feature: “These matters are purely an internal matter for the club and it is not my role or position to comment on them publicly.”
