The coach is in the process of divorcing his wife
British broadcaster Natalie Pike has caused a sensation on social media after posting an emotional message and videos showing her hugging legendary manager Pep Guardiola and sharing a celebratory kiss with him in an emotional farewell to the record-breaking coach.
The British press notes that 43-year-old Natalie, who also works for the BBC and DAZN, posted a video of Guardiola’s farewell celebration on her Instagram page, in which she wrote:
close friendship
A close friendship has developed between the broadcaster and the Catalan coach, 55, over the past ten years as they regularly spoke to the club’s TV channel, with Nathalie conducting dozens of interviews with Guardiola during his golden rule at the Etihad.
Natalie gave Pep’s last interview at the Etihad Stadium on May 24, and the next day she was photographed with him at the official farewell party.
The greatest coach of all time
In front of a packed stadium after City’s last home game two weeks ago, Natalie said with clear emotion: “What you have done for this club is immeasurable. Manchester is blue because of you Pep’, referring to the dominance City have imposed on a city long shared with arch-neighbours United.
Just a week ago, the presenter posted a short video in which he was seen happily twirling the City logo with the caption: “This is what life is like after 10 years with the greatest coach of all time.”
Co-appearance in social networks
Natalie and Pep, who is currently finalizing his divorce from Cristina Serra, his wife and partner of 30 years and mother of his three children, have appeared together in numerous photos on social media in recent years, while Natalie has been separated from her husband Jamie during the Corona pandemic.
The legendary coach is now back in his hometown of Barcelona and plans to take a break from daily training to recharge his batteries, as just days after leaving he won the Legends Cup golf tournament at the luxurious Empordda Golf course near Girona.
As for Natalie, she will be working on the 2026 World Cup starting in a few days as the host of the Scotland Fan Zone podcast in Boston.
