Egypt coach Hossam Hassan expressed his satisfaction with the Pharaohs’ performance against Brazil, despite losing 2-1 in a friendly match early Sunday morning in preparation for the 2026 World Cup finals.

Brazil opened the scoring through Bruno Guimaraes, then Mustafa Abdel Rauf “Zico” equalized for Egypt before Endrek sealed victory for the samba dancers.

The Egyptian national team will play Belgium, New Zealand and Iran in Group Seven, while the Brazilian national team will face Morocco, Scotland and Haiti in Group Three.

Hossam Hasan said that the technical staff in its selection depends on the player’s suitability to the team’s style and the demands of international tournaments, noting that the training experience helps him identify the elements to provide a supplement at this level, because international football is very different from the local league atmosphere, emphasizing the “non-international league”.
