Hearts head coach Derek McInnes is furious with ‘disgusting’ Celtic penalties

“When you hear Celtic’s 96th-minute penalty going to VAR, you assume they got a penalty,” the Incandescent Hearts head coach told Sky Sports.

“It’s disgusting. We’re against it, we’re against everyone. I don’t think it’s a penalty. It’s very poor and it looks like (Celtic) have been given it. They’re very lucky.”

Had Celtic dropped points, Hearts could have lost by two goals at Celtic Park on Saturday and still been champions for the first time since 1960.

Now, though, they must avoid defeat if they are to become the first team outside of Celtic or Rangers to win the Scottish top flight in four decades.

“It’s going to be the last game. We’re delighted to be a part of it,” added McInnes.

“To do that, we have to go and get a positive result. I’m already looking forward to it, not feeling sorry for ourselves. It’s going to be a game.”
