In a fiery night of football, England turned the tables on Croatia to claim a thrilling 4-2 win, blowing their first World Cup whistle with a strong message to their rivals.
England got off to a perfect start with two goals from captain Harry Kane, but the Croatians refused to give up and came back with goals from Martin Baturina and Peter Moses to end the first half 2-2, which lit up the stands and confounded Tuchel’s calculations.
