Egypt striker Hamza Abdel Karim has expressed his delight at making his first World Cup appearance as he featured in the 1-1 draw with Belgium to open the Pharaohs’ 2026 World Cup journey.
The second half saw the presence of Hamza Abdel Karim after the technical staff led by Hossam Hassan replaced him with national team captain Mohamed Salah in one of the highlights of the young striker’s match.
Hamza Abdel Karim said on beIN Sports TV channel. “We have to focus on the upcoming matches and get the three points, but for me the feeling after coming on for Mohamed Salah is indescribable.”
The Barcelona youngster added that the Egyptian team played a strong match against Belgium, stressing that the players’ attention is now focused on the upcoming confrontations to increase their chances of reaching the next round.
