Confirm Pep GuardiolaThe head coach of “Manchester City” expects the main role of the Egyptian Omar Marmoush in the decisive and remaining stages of the current season.
Manchester City will play their remaining four matches this season, including the FA Cup final, in a tight 12-day window as they hope to complete a domestic treble.
Egyptian striker Marmoush has had to wait for his chance to feature this season, having started just seven Premier League games, but he proved his quality by scoring from the bench in last Saturday’s 3-0 win over Brentford.
Guardiola is relying on the willingness of Marmus and his fellow non-regulars to be called up.
The coach of “City” said in the highlighted statements of ESPN. “We have spoken several times. I know it’s not easy for them, but I have full confidence that they will play in the upcoming matches.”
“I want to change the team because otherwise we won’t be able to reach the cup final or be fit enough to face Bournemouth.”
Guardiola continued his statements. “Especially Omar, it’s not easy because usually you only want one striker. He is a real striker, but we have Erling Holland in the team.”
The Spanish coach continued. “Haaland is very important for us, but Marmoosh’s contribution, considering the number of goals compared to the number of minutes he played, is very big.”
Holland scored his 50th goal of the season for club and country this weekend.
Guardiola commented on this, saying: “It’s unbelievable. There was a period when he suffered from extreme fatigue last November when he returned from a qualifier against Norway. It was a very difficult period.”
