Green light…Moroccan talent fuels conflict between Al-Ahly and European giants

Moroccan talent continues to attract the attention of the world’s biggest clubs, after many of them have excelled in recent times, from various age groups to the first team.

Moroccan league side Ittihad Tawarka have given the green light for their 20-year-old star Fouad Zahouani to turn professional, according to media reports.

Scouts from Dutch side Ajax Amsterdam have intensified their monitoring of Al-Zahwani in recent weeks due to his tactical acumen, his versatility in defensive skills and his ability to multi-task as a full-back and midfielder.

The Dutch team, which has won the European Champions League four times, is always interested in young talent, especially African, and is considered one of the most important schools for training and marketing internationally renowned players.

Al-Zahwani was trained at the Mohamed VI Academy and his contract with Ittihad Tawarka is extended until 2030, with a market value of one million euros now.

“The player is also attracting the attention of Egypt’s Al-Ahly, who are keeping a close eye on him, in addition to other European clubs ready to make a move for him this summer.”

Zahouani has a truly distinguished career, despite his young age, in the Moroccan national teams. he has won the Under-20 World Cup as well as the Africa Cup of Nations for local players. He also won the Arab Cup.
