Gracie Smith has been included in the Red Roses program for 2026-27 after a quick start.

Teenager Gracie Smith has been included in the England Roses program for 2026-27 after a stellar performance in the Netball Super League.

The 17-year-old, who has yet to play for England’s senior team, has become the NSL’s rising star after winning the trophy as a 16-year-old in 2025.

She played a further 12 matches for the London Pulse this season.

She was awarded the first ever inclusion in the Rose program which provides training and support to players and is essentially a group of players who form the basis of England teams throughout the year.

The list of 21 names also includes defenders Alice Harvey and Jayda Pechova, who return after a year in the Future Roses program and Ella Clarke for the first time since 2023 after impressing with Loughborough Lightning.

Four of those named – Imogen Allison, Sasha Glasgow, Helen Housby and Fran Williams – play in Australia, the rest in England.

Head Coach Anna Stembridge said: “I am delighted to share with the team of athletes who will be making up the full-time Rose program for next year.

“I firmly believe that we have the talent, commitment and technical and tactical diversity within this team to achieve the highest level at the Commonwealth Games this summer, as well as building towards the Netball World Cup in 2027 a year later.”
