Google’s Aluminum OS was revealed in a 16-minute long leaked video

Aluminum OS, Google’s upcoming version of Android for PC, may have leaked hours before Google announced it. Android demo sermon. Like Android Authority reports, leaker Mystic Leaks shared a 16-minute video on their Telegram channel that appears to show an extended demonstration of the new operating system.

After opening the screen with the Android logo, the video shows how to set up a new device. The system and the entire UI looks very similar to the stock Android as a whole, it’s just modified to fit a laptop and not a phone. The taskbar and app drawer are similar to what ChromeOS users will be familiar with, but the default home screen now includes desktop icons and the Google search bar. The update software also lists the device’s OS as “Android version 17.”

Along with the Mystic Leaks demo video, images showing the new “Googlebooks” line as well it leaked on Tuesdaywhich would be laptops aimed at running the new Android-for-PC OS.

Google is holding its annual Android Show later today at 1PM ET / 10AM PT. It’s starting to look like we might see some announcements.
