French Open 2026 results: GB’s Henry Patten and Finnish partner Harry Heliovara lose in men’s doubles final

Great Britain’s Henry Patten and Finnish partner Harry Heliovara lost 6-4 6-2 to top seeds Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos in the French Open men’s doubles final.

Second seed Patten, 30, and Heliovara, 37, were aiming to win a third Grand Slam title together as a partnership after previous wins at Wimbledon in 2024 and the 2025 Australian Open.

They reached their first French Open final without dropping a set, but Patten later admitted it had been a “tough day” for the pair as Spain’s Granoller, 40, and Argentina’s Zeballos, 41, successfully defended their title in one hour and 16 minutes.

Patten would have become the first Briton to claim the men’s doubles title in Paris in the Open era had he and Heliovara triumphed.

But they have the consolation of being joint world number one when the rankings are updated on Monday.
