Four people charged with murder after stabbing Lester

Four men have been charged with murder after a 24-year-old man was killed in Leicester.

Arad Nyakan has died after being stabbed in De Montfort Place, off London Road, on Wednesday, Leicestershire Police said.

The four men charged with murder are Talha Sattar, 21, of Stoughton Street South, Spinney Hills; Said Mohammed, 20, of Sparkenhoe Street, Spinney Hills; Husni Benramadan, 19, no fixed address; And Yusuf Khan, 18, has no fixed address, the force said.

All four were charged with one count of possessing an imitation gun with intent to commit a felony and one count of possession of a knife in a public place.

A fifth man – Kassam Tarmahomed, 21 – has been charged with assisting a criminal, police said.

All five men are due to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Leicestershire Police said two women, aged 52 and 43, were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender during the investigation and have been released on bail.

On the other hand, the force added that the 33-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder was released without taking any action.
