Former MP Craig Williams has pleaded guilty to general election betting offences.

Former Conservative MP Craig Williams He also pleaded guilty to gambling fraud by placing bets on the date of the 2024 general election.

The 41-year-old is an MP for Montgomeryshire and an aide to current Prime Minister Rishi Sunak before the election was called.

He entered the guilty plea at a hearing at Southwark Crown Court on Monday.
