Fletcher was selected to replace Gilmour in the Scotland team

Manchester United teenager Tyler Fletcher has replaced the injured Billy Gilmour in Scotland’s World Cup squad.

The 19-year-old made his debut as a half-time substitute in Curacao’s 4-1 friendly win at Hampden on Saturday.

Napoli midfielder Gilmour suffered a knee injury in the first half and his withdrawal from the squad was announced this evening.
