Smart watches can track your health stats, but they also do a lot of other things that you may not want or need all the time. The $100 Fitbit Air The tracker leaves common wearables out of people’s hands, leaving behind a small piece of health sensors that you might forget you’re wearing. You can’t forget that Google’s new health platform is built around AI.
The Air does not have a speaker, and there is only one LED on the side to show the battery level. You can double-click the tracker to see the level, and that’s the end of the device’s tools. Motor vibration is an alarm only—it cannot sync with your phone’s notifications. This makes sense, because there is no screen to tell you what the buzz was.

The stock Performance Band is simple, consisting of a smooth polyester thread with small velcro tabs and a metal loop. It is strong but seems to absorb a little moisture. When swimming or exercising a lot, you may need a functional silicone band. This hides the Air puck a little bit, and looks good in the game.
