“Al-Raqi” is trying to strengthen its ranks in the new season
Media reports have revealed how much Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahli will pay Gambian Aboubakar Sidi Kente, Norway’s Tromsø defender, in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Media reports had earlier confirmed that Al-Ahly had already managed to sign a permanent contract with Kenteh.After fierce competition from some European clubs such as German Club Cologne, French Strasbourg and Belgian Club Brugge.
He said Saudi Al-Riyadiya newspaper The Gambian defender has already signed his transfer contracts with Al-Ahly for the next 5 years, ending in 2031.
The newspaper explained that Kente will join “Al-Ahly” for 7 million euros, which the Saudi club will pay in several installments to the Norwegian partner.
The 19-year-old has thus become Al-Ahly’s first signing in the Mercato next summer, with more deals set to be signed, especially in light of the departure of Ivorian midfielder Franck Kesse.
Kente is regarded as one of the most outstanding young talents in European football and he even previously won the Norwegian League’s Player of the Year award in May last year.
