First comment from Al-Waleed bin Talal after Al-Hilal lost in the Saudi League

Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, the owner of Al-Hilal Club, has commented on the team’s loss of the Saudi League title for the second consecutive season to arch-rivals Al-Nasr.

Al Hilal failed to win the Saudi League titleDespite a clean sheet win over Al-Fayha in the last round, they took their tally to 84 points, two points behind Al-Nasr, who won the title after a seven-year absence.

Prince Alwaleed bin Talal posted a picture on his official page on the “X” website, which contains the titles of the five highest-scoring teams in Saudi football, with Al Hilal leading the way with 91 titles.

On the other hand, the picture shows that Al-Ittihat wins 59 titles compared to 54 titles won by Al-Ahli, 49 by Al-Nasr and 48 by Al-Shabaab.

The Saudi prince commented on the photo. “The language of numbers always rules. To reach Al Hilal club, the second team needs 32 titles, the third – 37, the fourth – 42 and the fifth – 43.

Notably, this is the first title Al Hilal has lost under Prince Alwaleed bin Talal since acquiring 70% of his shares last April, when the team was crowned the guardians of the Two Holy Mosques Cup at the price of immortality.
