Final deal…Manchester United decide Carrick’s fate


The board of directors of “Manchester United” has decided the fate of its coach Michael Carrick During the next season.

Mercato expert Fabrizio Romano said on his YouTube channel: “Final approval has now been received from Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe for Michael Carrick to remain as permanent manager.

He added: “Carrick enjoys the support of the leaders in the dressing room and the players are delighted to work with Carrick, in addition to the administrative staff and board of directors.”

“Michael Carrick will remain the permanent manager of Manchester United and will sign a two-year contract until June 2028, with the option of extending until 2029, and his salary will also increase compared to what he received as interim manager.

The management of Manchester United is currently working to recruit the support staff for the next season 2026-2027 as there will be some changes as Manchester United will participate in an additional competition next season which is the Champions League.

“Carrick will take charge of Manchester United’s project following their return to the Champions League competition and I expect an official announcement to be made soon.

He concluded. “I assure you that everything has been agreed by Manchester United, as well as by Carrick himself. He is very happy to sign a permanent contract. Therefore, there are no problems with the contract.
