FIFA to sell pieces of the World Cup final stadium, they can get millions | World Cup 2026 news

The yard pieces used in the yard will be sold as souvenirs and range in price from $450 to $1,200.

FIFA hopes to make money from World Cup payments even after the games are over and the tournament is over.

Tickets for the World Cup finals will go on sale starting at $450 a piece, soccer’s governing body announced Saturday.

Players and coaches have criticized the quality of the field at New Jersey’s MetLife, which often uses the stadium for the NFL’s New York Giants and Jets. FIFA also changed the venue to New Jersey New York Stadium for the World Cup.

FIFA, which has been accused of overcharging for this year’s tournament in the United States, will receive more than $11m in sales, according to a report by The Athletic.

“Have a real football history with a part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Cup, permanently stored in premium acrylic and USB memory,” says the page. “Each piece features an original piece of the game’s finale, making it a unique collection that celebrates one of the world’s greatest sports.”

Official stores say that each unit of turf is 17.5 by 17.5 by 17.5, although it does not say whether the number is in inches, centimeters or millimeters.

FIFA said “the acrylic USB has a realistic film look, while providing a sleek, modern display.” Presented in a premium shoulder bag with UV protection, this item is made for collectors, fans, and football enthusiasts”.

FIFA is making this site available for shipping to addresses in the United States and Europe only.

“Orders will not be shipped until after the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final,” the governing body said.

In addition to the expensive tickets and memorabilia for the game, it will cost $3,000 in expensive souvenir turf. The three-by-three-inch (7.6-by-7.6-centimeter) grass comes with a gold-engraved ticket, a replica World Cup ball and a stone-cut World Cup trophy.

The other three pieces of souvenir turf will sell for $450, $900 and $1,200.

There will be no more than 2,026 pieces available in each section.

FIFA is selling regular season tickets for up to $32,970 in the final and is asking $34,500 and $32,500 for hospitality tickets that include food and drinks.

The report revealed that the turf that will be used in the World Cup final was grown on a turf farm in North Carolina.

For consistency, new turf fields were installed at all World Cup venues, including those with artificial surfaces such as the stadiums in Seattle, Washington; Atlanta, Georgia; East Rutherford, New Jersey; Vancouver, Canada; Arlington, Texas; and Inglewood, California.

There is no telling what will happen to the turf fields that are not being used in the end.
