Chris had an extremely good week in the BBC Premier League prediction competition – not one but two weekly wins.
Last weekend, he had six correct results from 10 games in Week 36, including a total with one correct score. 90 points.
BBC readers managed a total of five correct results, with no correct scores 50 points.
His guest, boxer Fabio Wardley, manages five correct results and ends up with both the correct score and the AI 80 points.
There was another game in between Manchester City And Crystal Palace Wednesday, which was postponed from week 31 because City were in the Carabao Cup final.
Chris was, tentatively, given the weekly win aimed at bottom of the table – but he could still lose it, which could be disastrous for his title hopes.
Before City v Palace, he had 70 points, his guests – Crookhaven stars Amari Bacchus and Genesis Linnea – both had 60 points, BBC readers had 30 points and AI had 20 points.
However, things were good for Chris. He later picked up 40 points for a correct score Rightly backed City to win 3-0.
Amari also thought City would win 3-0 and collect 40 points while Genesis, BBC Reader and AI all picked up 10 points after going for the same result but a 3-1 scoreline. Those points (or their average for the two guests) are added to their score.
With two rounds to play, Chris is back at the top of the table. Guests can no longer catch him, but AI and BBC readers still can.
Chris currently has nine weekly wins, one more than anyone else. They have always been used to determine positions in prediction tables, since the days before AI and readers could also predict, when his guests were his only opponents.
