Esperance’s shock decision over Bummel

Today, Monday, the Esperance club made a shock decision against their French coach Patrice Baumel after the team lost the Tunisian league title to the African team.

Esperance lost 0-1 to Africa yesterday, Sundayin the penultimate round of the competition.

Esperance Club have announced in an official statement the dismissal of Patrice Baumel to coach the team and the assignment of coach Christian Braconi until the end of the season.

Patrice Baumel, 48, took over at Esperance on 21 February and led the team to the semi-finals of the African Champions League before losing to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Bummel has managed Esperance in 13 matches in various competitions, winning 6 and drawing 4, while the team has suffered 3 defeats.
