England: BBC Sport picks World Cup XIs – who do you pick?

It’s an easy choice, Jordan Pickford is a goalkeeper. I’ll start Reece James if he’s fully fit.

I’d go with John Stones over Ezri Konsa even though Konsa is really reliable. I believe Stones can lead the way in international football and if we want to keep the ball in play, he can certainly do that.

Guhi’s initiation is self-explanatory. This season has been good for Crystal Palace and Manchester City. Nico O’Reilly at left back. I know DJ Spence started in the friendly against New Zealand, but if I had to pick one it would definitely be O’Reilly.

Elliot Anderson and Declan Rice – Pretty much everyone’s expectations. I like Andersen because he can also start an attack. I know he is there to break up the game but when he plays the ball through the lines he plays with great quality.

Rice, we all know why it starts. Judd Bellingham, I put him ahead of Morgan Rodgers at No. 10 because he’s a big game player. I think he’s a real superstar. I think there are two real stars in him and Harry Kane.

I’d go with Marcus Rashford over Anthony Gordon, but I wouldn’t mind putting Rodgers there.
