Emma Raducanu Coach: Meets Andrew Richardson, the man who helped the British number one win the US Open.

Emma Raducanu – who helped the teenager become the US Open champion – has been linked permanently with coach Andrew Richardson.

Raducanu and Richardson have been working together regularly in Strasbourg in preparation for the WTA clay court tournament, the final warm-up event before the French Open.

The pair have agreed to a full-time partnership, meaning Raducanu intends to mentor the 52-year-old Briton at Wimbledon and beyond.

Raducanu first met with Richardson earlier this month at the Ferrer Academy in Spain, where he has been director of tennis for several years, for a short training session in preparation for the clay court.

“I’m looking forward to reuniting with someone I’ve known for over a decade and building one iteration at a time,” British number one Radukan told BBC Sport.
