Elon Musk Loses Multiple Lawsuits Against OpenAI

Elon Musk suffered the worst defeat possible its battle against OpenAI as a federal court and the judge ruled that he waited too long to bring his claims against the introduction of AI and its top managers, Sam Altman and Greg Brockman.

The jury’s decision was a non-binding recommendation sent to US District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers, although she acknowledged Monday that it was hers, and it was final.

The a group of nine members made the decision unanimously in the Oakland, California court after at least two hours of deliberation. They found that the restrictive measures had expired long before Musk’s eyes he presented his case in 2024. Musk hoped to convince the judges that Altman and Brockman, with the help of Microsoft’s money, turned OpenAI into a bigger company than was imagined when the three of them and others started it as a non-profit about 11 years ago.

Because the jury found the case untimely, it did not address Musk’s three claims, including breach of charitable trust, unjust enrichment, and, against Microsoft, aiding and abetting.

Musk, Altman, and Brockman were not present when the jury handed down its verdict. Elon Musk’s lawyer, Marc Toberoff, commented to reporters as he left the courtroom: “Appeal.” Lawyers for OpenAI were not immediately available for comment.

But William Savitt, OpenAI’s lawyer, said last week that Musk’s lawsuit and the lawsuit that followed it were “gloriously” fraudulent. Musk, by court order not a tweet during the trialhe has said little about it in recent weeks.

Despite the disappointing results of Musk’s half, the case seems to have been tainted Public image of OpenAI and its top management.
