Dyson V10 Konical Review (2026): Affordable and Durable

It will also be compatible with Dyson’s new station, the Delete everything Dochopefully we’ll be out by the end of this year. Only V10 Konical is V16 Piston Animal ($980) they are currently expected to work with them.

What made me like the Dyson V10 Konical so much was how well it performed in my testing. I tried it with sand and grain on carpets, then dirt on hardwoods, then stairs and bedrooms. It outperformed most Dysons across its range, beating the V15 Detect, V16 Piston Animal, and V8 Cyclone by its score.

My product passed 1 to 4 on a five-point test — sand, cat litter, Cheerios, regular vacuuming, and a handheld vacuum — 4 being the best and 1 being the worst. The V10 Konical came away with a score of 14 out of 20, while the V15 came in behind with 12 out of 20. The V10 came in second out of Dyson’s five vacuums, with only the Gen5Detect beating it with a score of 17. Dyson’s self-cleaning range is set to be released later this year.

While testing it, I was very impressed with how well it picked up sand for its low power, and it did a great job of absorbing the intentional Cheerios mess I made. I wasn’t too impressed with the hard bottom effect, but since the V10 doesn’t work with a Fluffy Optic head like the top Dyson vacuums, it’s not as effective as a vacuum cleaner that can replace the head that’s built on top of it. Still, it’s not bad—I was still able to break through the debris I threw on hard floors as a test. It only needed a few passes instead of just one pass to get it all in, and it didn’t push the pile like the V8 Cyclone’s price. The V10 performs well on handheld surfaces as well as on carpets and rugs, and it feels easier to push on a low-profile rug than the V8 did with its Digital Motorbar head.

Overall, I would recommend this vacuum cleaner if you have settled on a Dyson and have a house full of carpets and rugs. It’s a better buy than going for the cheaper V8, and I’ve found it to be better than some of the more expensive Dyson vacuums out there. I couldn’t have called it any better Shark PowerDetectbut if you are fixated on Dyson, this is the best buy for a cheap Dyson.
