Due to the explosion of the Nord Stream, the Ukrainian was accused by Germany

Menacker, a Berlin law firm representing the Ukrainian man, told Reuters news agency that the charges were filed on Wednesday. He did not provide any details about the charges.

The suspect, along with seven accomplices, was accused of leading a group to destroy three of the four Nord Stream gas pipelines, German public broadcaster DW reported, citing German media.

It is also accused of attacking civilian energy infrastructure, as well as destroying infrastructure by creating explosions.

The attack released record-breaking amounts of methane into the Baltic Sea and disabled billions of dollars worth of infrastructure.

A month after his arrest, the second Ukrainian suspect was arrested at his home near the Polish capital, Warsaw, on another arrest warrant issued by Germany.

Although Nord Stream 2 is not operational, Nord Stream 1’s two pipelines have provided uninterrupted supply along the 1,200-km (745-mile) Baltic Sea route from the Russian coast to northeastern Germany.
