He continued. “It is important to know the opponent and believe in ourselves and deal with any circumstances. We can’t know what will happen, and it depends on our method and concentration, and we are aware of our capabilities and the capabilities of the opponent.”
He referred to the climatic conditions of America, saying: “The climate conditions are very difficult, but we have to adapt to them in order to achieve our goals, and there are stops for rest and drinking water, which will be very important.”
He continued. “We cannot say what the result of such decisions will be, but this is a rule. We have to work and take advantage of these breaks and give instructions and maybe that will help the players.”
Shortly before the World Cup, the Greek coach said about his appointment as the technical director of the Saudi Arabian national team. “I have been in the Kingdom since 2015 and I love this country very much and I have a lot of experience dealing with a Saudi player.”
“Since he was in Saudi Arabia, I expected him to be appointed to this position and my goal is to help this team regain its luster and make the Saudi fans happy.”
He concluded. “We would like to look good to respect Saudi football and we need to stand out to prepare for the upcoming events as well.”
