And his position on the Australian meeting
Khaled Al-Dirandali, vice president of the Egyptian Football Association, has revealed the truth about the severity of the injury that forced Mohamed Salah off the field in the World Cup match against Iran.
Al-Dirdali confirmed in televised statements that the Egyptian star had suffered a slight muscle strain in his hamstring, prompting him to take the precautionary decision to withdraw to avoid further injury.
He explained that Salah’s high level of professionalism made him aware of the risks of staying in the match despite the pain, preferring to stay fit for the upcoming tournament.
Al-Dirndal was quoted by doctor Mohamed Abu El-Ella as confirming the injury was “within acceptable limits” and far from any serious concern, noting that medical staff had begun an intensive treatment protocol to ensure the Egyptian international’s readiness for the decisive battle against Australia in the Round of 32 next Friday.
He noted that the Pharaohs, who finished second in the group, had given them about a week before the showdown with Australia, describing it as a “divine arrangement” that would give the captain enough time to recover.
The vice-president of the federation concluded his remarks by emphasizing that the technical and medical staff, led by Hossam Hassan, are working intensively to prepare all elements for the Australian match, expressing his optimism for Salah’s participation in the fateful match.
