The end of the Argentina-Spain World Cup final witnessed yet another unpleasant turn when the Argentines broke the usual unwritten rules and protocols in the closing moments, according to… AS newspaper.
The newspaper noted that Argentina usually did not follow the runners-up during their opponent’s crowning moments, and the players turned their backs to the podium and faced their fans, who were still in one of the stands and had not yet left the pitch.
