Morocco star Ayoub Bouadi has confirmed he has no regrets about his decision to represent the Atlas Lions instead of France, despite bidding farewell to the World Cup with a 2-0 defeat to the Roosters.
Bouadi was one of the tournament’s biggest stars after committing to his international future with Morocco last May, despite France’s Sunni internationals and even captaining France’s under-21 team last March.
Despite the defeat against France, the Moroccan player emphasized that he is fully convinced of the decision to represent “Atlas Lions”.
And it was published ESPN Network Bouadi’s statements where he said: “There are absolutely no regrets when choosing Morocco. I have always said that this decision comes from the heart and I am very proud to represent Morocco no matter what happens.”
He added: “The most important thing now is that all of us, the players, the technical staff and everyone around the team know that no matter what, we will always give everything we have for this shirt.”
He continued. “We are proud, although we hoped to please the Moroccan people as much as possible. In the upcoming tournaments, we will know what we still need to improve in order to go as far as possible.”
He noted: “Before the match, we knew that we were going to meet France, which is a very strong team, we knew that it would be a difficult match and that a huge effort would be required from us.”
He pointed out. “I think we gave everything we had and we did 100% of our potential, but this is football, you can’t always win.”
He explained. “I believe that this match will help us develop. It will show us what we need to take with us to the next tournaments and what aspects we still need to improve.”
