World indoor champions Molly Cowdery and Georgia Hunter Bell won the pole vault and 1500 meters at the Diamond League meet in Rome.
Hunter Bell, K Won the first world title in Torun in MarchPulled away from the leading pack to win in three minutes 58.63 seconds at the Stadio Olimpico.
Two-time world indoor champion Cowdery won the pole vault title with a jump of 4.80m.
In a meeting full of British interest, Keeley Hodgkinson, who also triumphed indoors in Poland, finished seventh in a rare outing in the 400m.
The 24-year-old was unable to challenge at the unfamiliar distance, finishing in 51.14s, with compatriot Amber Anning fifth in 50.19s.
In the women’s 200m, Amy Hunt and Dinah Asher-Smith clocked 22.52 and 22.76 seconds to finish fourth and fifth respectively, with Olympic champion Julien Alfred winning from world champion Melissa Jefferson-Wooden.
Meanwhile, Olympic champion Noah Lyles won the men’s 100m in 9.88s, ahead of Cameroon’s Emmanuel Esme and Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo, while Great Britain’s Jeremiah Azu finished ninth in 10.12s.
