Despite the temptations of Saudi Arabia, the Barcelona star has clung to the European dream

Media reports have revealed that young Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado has received several offers in recent weeks, but he is still clinging to the option of continuing in Europe despite interest from the Saudi League.

As reported by the Catalan “Sport” newspaper, the offers received by “Barcelona” did not exceed 12 million euros, and some offers included the purchase of only a percentage of the football player’s rights, which has not yet convinced the Catalan club.

The paper states that German side Borussia Dortmund have expressed an interest in signing Casado, and there were discussions about including him in the Karim Adeyemi deal, but this option ultimately fell through.

Meanwhile, the player’s agent Jorge Mendes is exploring other options in the English Premier League in addition to pursuing offers from the Saudi League.

Sport confirmed that Casado’s priority is not the financial side, but rather a move to a club that trusts his abilities and gives him a real chance to fully participate and play an important role in the team’s sporting project.

He added that the player believes this stage of his career requires him to get regular game minutes to help him develop, leading him to prefer to exhaust all European options before considering any other direction.

The newspaper found out that there are two open offers from Saudi clubs to sign a contract with the football player, but Casado has not yet given his approval, waiting for the results of European moves in the coming period.

Despite the continued uncertainty surrounding his future, the player could travel with Barcelona to the team’s camp in England, even if his final destination is not decided before the start of the camp.
