A message to England stars before they face Norway
England veteran Jordan Henderson has sent a message to his England team-mates after undergoing surgery on the injury he suffered in a freak accident while celebrating victory over Mexico.
Henderson suffered a bizarre injury after jumping over a billboard and landing unbalanced on his wristAfter celebrating with fans in the 3-2 win over Mexico at the Azteca Stadium, he needed oxygen as medical staff carried him on a stretcher to a hospital in the capital.
Henderson gave his health update yesterday, Wednesday, following surgery on a broken wrist.
The 36-year-old footballer posted his first post after the surgery on Instagram, saying: “The operation is complete. Let’s get ready for the big game on Saturday. Thank you to all the staff at Kansas City Orthopedic Institute who took care of me, especially the three surgeons who performed the procedure: Dr. Kenneth B.
Many of Jordan’s England teammates, including Marcus Rashford, Morgan Rodgers, Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice, were quick to show their support for him by adding heart emojis in the comments section.
His club Brentford also sent him a message saying: “We wish you a speedy recovery, Jordan.”
Henderson traveled to Kansas City to be with the team and support them ahead of their quarter-final match against Norway, and that will be a huge morale boost for the team, especially as he is a well-liked figure among his teammates.
