Derek Chisora has revealed his wife has given him the “green light” to rematch Deontay Wilder.
Wilder defeated Chisora by split decision in an impressive fight last month and previously said he would retire after that fight, the 50th of his professional career.
However, the 42-year-old remains in talks for a second fight with Wilder later this year.
“I am working on the rematch. The wife has given me the green light, so I will do the rematch,” he said Sky Sports News.
“I haven’t confirmed it yet. I have a few meetings tomorrow (Wednesday) and we’ll see how it goes.
“He (Wilder) is interested because he’s also upset about the result. Yeah he might have won but he’s upset, so we’re going to bring it back.”
Asked if he would have another fight after a possible rematch, Chisora added: “That’s it. (At the end of this year) I will retire.”

Chisora: Wardley let himself down
In the midst of a busy period in heavyweight boxing, Daniel Dubois defeated Fabio Wardley in a thrilling 11-round battle in the latest bout.
Dubois recovered from two early knockdowns to become a two-time world champion, but it was Wardley’s bravery that caused much controversy afterwards.
Chisora said: “Wardley let himself down but Daniel came in like, ‘I’m here to destroy.’ He walked into the ring sweaty, ready to rock and roll.

“I believe Fabio didn’t respect Daniel. Fabio hit him with everything he had but Daniel kept getting up and fighting.
“I would love to see the match again. It was a good fight. We enjoyed it, and congratulations to Daniel Dubois on an amazing win.”
Wardley questioned whether the fight should have been stopped earlier due to the punishment taken from Dubois.

But, Chisora pointed to the controversial first fight between Carl Froch and George Groves in 2013 when many felt the referee stopped the fight too early.
“You don’t know in boxing. In boxing. If you stop early, people say, ‘Why did you stop early?'” he said.
“We saw it with George Groves and Carl Frock (in the first fight) and George went crazy, everybody went crazy.”
